A little Bit of nothing...

I have no time to post, so this is not going very long, in fact I'll probably update this post tomorrow!! what a brilliant idea! well, I'll tell you about all my great adventures and other fantastic events of today tomorrow! (that was confusing!) But until then I will leave you all in such suspense you have never felt before in your life! ok, enough that...well, I think I will get on to other business. Have you seen the borne identity, what did you think of it??
I just saw and and here is what I thought of Borne Identity...
The plot had a more or less confusing development, revealing the beginning of Borne's life at the end of the movie. The storyline doesn't quite follow a solid line, so if you find yourself wondering why something is happened, you probably missed the jump...if that's too confusing then i'll just say you have to keep you eyes and ears open...however, if you concentrate on the facts you can follow it. But it takes some brain powever...so if you want to relax and watch a movie, this isn't the one, unless you enjoy being confused! But once i got the plot figured out the movie was enjoyable. The action, and violence doesn't overpower the story and neither does the special effects. And of course the sequel follows the same idea, however the plot is considerable easier to follow....almost...But, those are just my opinions...anyone else?

Daylight "Savings" Time...

Well, get used to it...Saturday night...we change our clocks...(change our clocks...just absurd if you ask me...) So with the daylight savings time dynasty on the way, some people are saying, "It's ABOUT TIME!!! I have waited for forever for Indiana to get there clocks in action!!" and some people are saying, "This is ridiculous!! I moved to Indiana just to get out of changing my clock!! Why can't we just leave the clocks alone!!" So whats your opinion?

I think we should just leave the clocks alone. I know everyone else does it, but really, I think America needs to get out of the idea that we got to change our clocks around, just leave them be!! Besides, if you move the clocks forward, you save light in the evening but not in the morning!! Oh well, some things you just gotta live with...But really, do we need to be messing with our clocks. Does turning your clocks an hour ahead really give you an advantage. Think about it, your going to have to wait a whole nother hour just to shoot off fireworks. It'll be an hour later each morning too. So yeah, well, it'll be interesting how people react. I heard that some people were going to form a group and not change their clocks...how stupid! they're just going to be late to everything!! BUT...if EVERYBODY didn't change their clocks, well, then all the government officials would be late!!

Well, I am going down to Indy tomorrow, so that's means sleep is a necessity, as if it never is...so see ya all later...

The fun side of church planting...

Today we had our core group study, for our new church plant, at a church building that we are checking out. The church is kinda secluded in a way, it's quite a ways in the country but it is really interesting. I mean, interesting in a good way. The church is in fact a historical antique building which makes it all the more fascinating!! The building itself is really cool. The sanctuary is a lot like the Kokomo rp, just a little smaller and there are several good sized rooms for a pastors office and classrooms. However, the basement is the most interesting. There's a nice big kitchen with and an extra set of restrooms. There is a large room next to the kitchen and double doors in the back of the room into another large room which could be perfect for anything from fellowship lunches to a rollerblading rink. Seriously this place has a TON of possibilities!! Another thing, there is a roof thing sticking up out of the ground behind the church as if an outhouse had sunk into the ground so all you could see is the roof. Nobody knows what it is and nobody knows how to get into it. Isn't that exciting! Well, really, in a way, there's just so much cool stuff in that church building. The only thing is that the basement needs a LOT of work. It looks as if the kitchen hasn't been used in like, 50 years and the restrooms look like the spiders have already declared it there's...but really, the place looks promising. Not every day you get to have a service in an antique church! Well, anyway, I think it's really neat church. It'll be interesting if we end up in there. But, well, that's up to God's eternal plan...

By the way, I appreciate all the interesting discussion on my last posts. Keep commenting!!
Well I am turning in, take care ya'll...

The Road Ends Here...

This weekend is going to be a MESS in Indy!! 80,000 people are expected to be running around in Indy!! There was a reason why our home school conference was last week!! What's your guys' picks...that is if you have one! I think George mason will make it to the championship and get beat by LSU. But still, you never know. What are your ideas? George Mason may go all the way and shock everybody, but I am sticking with LSU. Actually I got invited to go down to Indy on Friday to watch the teams practice and do some other stuff. I might make another prediction afterwards. It should be interesting, however the traffic is certainly going to be far from pleasant!!

My last post had some interesting comments. I think that discussion is a good thing so keep commenting on your thoughts. One important issue was brought up. We all have the same facts, however it's our interpretation of those same facts are what's different. Your interpretation of the facts is based on your worldview. So even though you see a canyon and think "a lot of water, a little time" some one else might say "a little water a lot of time". It's all based off of your worldview.

Well, there's some thoughts that should hold you till' tomorrow, have a great night!

6 days...

Ok, I couldn't post yesterday because of some tech issues, so this post is a really good post to comment on!!

Well, I joined the RP forum. There are a lot of interesting threads there. One of the most intersting ones is about the age of the earth. I believe in a young earth. I think that along with the bible, observational science over and over again proves a young earth. To me, deciding whether the earth is young or old is not major decision. It seems pretty obvious to me. One of the biggest arguments is about the 6 days of creation. I think it's definitely 6, 24 hour days and then of course the same for the last one. If you think about it, nobody really started to question the time of creation until evolution rolled around with there millions of years story. So some compromising Christians decided that because "science" proves that it took millions of years then we can sort of try to put millions of years into the bible. If you think about it, the only place you can really put a millions years in the bible is before man was created, because then the genealogies would be all messed up. So they came up with the day-age theory and the gap theory and all these ideas, questioning a belief that for a long time has not ever been disputed. And now, it is leading a lot of people to question the 7 days in genesis. What are your guys' thoughts on this issue? There is a lot of interesting debate about it. It's fun to see other ideas and view points as well, so comment with your point of view.

I have a long day ahead of me, so I am going to start working, have a great day...

Boredom...

One of the speakers at the convention brought up an interesting point about boredom. He said that boredom isn't just having nothing to do. Boredom is actually self-centered thinking, expecting everybody to do stuff for you to make your life interesting and not using any creativity to do stuff yourself. In fact Boredom isn't a harmless feeling, if you bored, you certainly aren't using your gifts to glorify God, your just stuck thinking about how you have nothing to do. And not doing anything, is just as bad as doing the wrong thing. When I heard that it totally changed my thinking of boredom. I used to think boredom wasn't really, wrong, it's just a harmless feeling. But really, if you think about it, boredom is very self-centered thinking and not at all productive. What do you think?? Anyway, just a few thoughts from the conference.

Well, it's the start of another glorious week. There was supposed to be a debate tournament this weekend, but it was cancelled for a lack of contestants. It's kinda bittersweet, because, I really don't want to do another tournament, but I do need some more practice. Instead of a speech and debate tourney, there is a...ready for this.........a monopoly tournament!! With...a grand prized of a 75$ gift card to Dick's sporting goods...how cool is that!? I better start practicing I guess. I actually won a new monopoly board last year. This year, well, 75 bucks is pretty decent winnings for playing a game...really...

UCONN IS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!! and Texas...sorry Nathan, i think your final four choosings have been manipulated a bit. No #1 seeds are left!! I was pretty sure this was going to be a year of upsets, and guess what, there were a lot of upsets. Any of you getting in on the action in Indy?? That would be such an experience, wow, that could pass as a field trip, seriously, well...almost...
I think I need to start shutting down...have a great night,

Exhaustion...

Wow, what a weekend, I am barely able to type let alone think...but it was well worth traveling all the way down to Indy. The sessions were extremely helpful, and very inspiring. Two excellent key speakers with Ken Ham, and John Stonestreet. And, of course, I got to hang out with some very cool people. It's so neat though, since everybody there is homeschooled. It's so encouraging.

So what did everybody else do to keep there life adventurous and intriguing? Any trips, camps, explosions?? I have had a lot of interesting weekends so I am ready for one that I can actually relax. Does anyone else feel like they have no weekends or is it just me? I am always busy on weekends!! Well, exhaustion is now starting to take over my ability to concentrate so I better leave you all , have a great rest of the weekend...

March 24, 2006

A little piece of the conference...

wow, I am so tired. Today was a really inspiring day at the convention. I know some of you have heard of Ken Ham. He is a native Australian, and he founded answers in Genesis. He is the key speaker at the conference and some of his lectures have been very helpful. He spoke on the 3 basic topics...

1 The real meaning of the "6" days of creation
2 Can God be confirmed through science?
3 The impact of Evolution and Creation worldviews on students

These are the basics of what he spoke on. Any discussion on these topics? Ken Ham brought out the point that as soon as we start adding man's fallible ideas to the bible then we start to open the door to other worldviews. Such as adding millions of years to creation. It just doesn't work. I think he's right on. Any other thoughts?

Well, I really need to go, because we have another long day tomorrow...
take care ya'll...

March 23, 2006

Well, the NCAA has started up today, with LSU and Duke, along with Bradley and Memphis. Bradley and Memphis is the game I have my eyes on. Anybody know how long it's been a 13 seed has made it to the sweet 16? It'll be interesting to see how far they make it...

The Homeschool conference is tomorrow, so we have been getting ready all day. Rummaging through all our old school books so my mom knows what to buy. It should be an enjoyable weekend though. Well, I still have more stuff to get ready so I'll leave you with some more quotes...

Half this game is ninety percent mental." --Philadelphia Phillies manager, Danny Ozark

"We don't necessarily discriminate. We simply exclude certain types of people." --Colonel Gerald Wellman, ROTC instructor.

"Traditionally, most of Australia 's imports come from overseas." --Keppel Enderbery

"Your food stamps will be stopped effective March 1992 because we received notice that you passed away. May God bless you. You may reapply if there is a change in your circumstances." --Department of Social Services, Greenville, South Carolina

Computerization...(is that even a word?)

Anybody familiar with WORLD magazine, I'm sure at least somebody gets it or knows about it. But in the last issue it was celebrating 20 years of publishing. Besided that they brought up some interesting thoughts. Everything is going computerized, news, sports, weather, stocks, shopping, you name it, it can be done online. So newspapers, magazines and the like are kinda dying out in a way. Newspaper subscriptions are going down each year as well as magazines, and periodicals. So what do YOU think is going to happen in the next, 20 years? Do you think everything is going to be "computerized", or maybe with online subscriptions to "e-papers" or something. It's an interesting topic, for a long time newspapers were the only way to get news...but the radio came and now the internet, so I am assuming the newspapers will die out with the rest of old technology. Who knows, maybe even the TV will die out and all movies will be on computers and things with expandable screens. I think sometime, there might be an all in one, like a TV/Game system(x-box probably)/computer all in one. Microsoft can do it if anyone else can. Random thought for today...

Well, a good solid day for me today. I got a TON of math done, like 3 lessons in precalculus...but...let's not go there...My brother is down stairs watching "God's and Generals" for his history class I think. Really, I want a class where u have to evaluate movies!! Well, with the sounds of exploding gun shells and musket fire, I think I'll leave you all for a some much needed rest, ttyl later

March 21, 2006

Weather...such a fascinating subject...

Well, I guess Indy got a little more snow then we did. They got like, 4 to 5 in. and we got a dusting, literally, all we got was a bunch of really cold air and that's it. Enough to make it miserable...but it's Indiana, so what if it's the first day of spring, anything can happen here. If I become a weather man (which is almost impossible) I would probably move so I wouldn't have to do weather reports for Indiana, it's crazy here, and unpredictable, the weather guys are always wrong!! Well, maybe not always, but it does seem that way sometimes. Anybody else think Indiana weather is unpredictable, or is it just me?

Speaking of weather, does anybody know about the myth that if you are unusually thirsty then it will rain or some precipitation will come? Well, my grandpa was, a living example of that myth if I ever saw one. One time, he was here for a visit, and he got real thirsty, he downed like, 4 large cokes in a couple of minutes! Anyway, sure enough it downpoured that day. Another time, it was freezing cold outside and in March (no surprise!) and he was real thirsty again, so we were thinking rain, but we were like, it's 25 degrees outside, rain is impossible! Well, sure enough it started snowing in about an hour...maybe there is some truth to that...I was real thirsty today...well, you never know...anyway, there's a random thought for the week...

Tomorrow, is a free day of nothing except bible study, so maybe I can actually get some work done! And if any work is going to happen I think I need some sleep so, I'll talk to you all later,

March 20, 2006

It's the start of another interesting week. This weekend is the home school conference and if you aren't home schooled, or you don't live in Indiana, well, you'll have no idea what I am talking about. But if you do, well, it should be a good time of teaching. I really enjoy the times I go...it's Friday and Saturday at the Indianapolis Convention Center. There are a lot of good speakers who come and lecture and talk about a bunch of different subjects. But that is pretty much all for this week on my schedule...well, for now at least. Things pop up in the middle of the week ALL the time...

SNOW!!! ok, I saw the weather report and I thought "now?" I am ready for spring...not snow!! but apparently it is on the way to Lafayette and Indy. we might end up with 6 in. Tomorrow morning! I am so glad I don't have a paper route now!

Well, I am going to wind down here pretty soon, have a great night...

March 19, 2006

The big ten is out!!

There are no more big ten teams left!! That was such a disappointment. 6 teams in the tourney, and none make it to the sweet 16, but like, Wichita? and Bradley? Conferences I've haven't heard of are in this thing, and the big ten doesn't have one team, not even one team to show for themselves...Oh well, it is the NCAA, anything can happen...I'm putting my hopes in the zags now. Gonzaga is in the same state my parents grew up...Washington!! So we'll see what they can do. They are looking real strong right now. Any other thoughts? Anyway, for those of you who see the letters "NCAA" and "brackets" and say "who cares?" I think I'll stop there...;)

I had a great fun filled weekend. The basketball banquet was great and Adam is back, rattling off all of his adventures on the other side of the world...well almost...about the beer, well, in his own words..."it wasn't that bad!!" What did you all do for the weekend?

Well, I have decided to make another CD. It should have more songs on it, like maybe 10 or 11. And hopefully I'll have it done by summer or something. It's going to be so hard to record though. All the pro's just play the piece once and bleep out all the errors. I like play it through and then, "nah, that wasn't good" so I'll do it again, "nope, there was an error in measure 25 or something" so I'll do it again, and again until something actually decent comes out. It takes FOREVER!!!! And it is very exhausting, sitting around trying to play the piano perfectly for 5 hours or so. 6 songs is hard enough!! Well, I think I'll get to bed early tonight, I really need the sleep, after the paper route all week, it will be nice to sleep in to 6:30...heh, yeah, sleep in to 6:30...

g'night all,

Some quotes...

Ahh, we had a glorious banquet!! It was so fun, we had a reception thing first and I played some of my brand new compositions, and then the food was excellent and so were all the comments for the coaches and players and stuff. And the hanging out and socializing, can't miss that stuff! All in all, it came out perfectly...well, almost that is...we had some stalls and some, "uh, what do we do now?" moments but that was about it. I am so tired though so I'll leave you with some quotes...

Question: If you could live forever, would you and why?
Answer: "I would not live forever, because we should not live forever, because if we were supposed to live forever, then we would live forever, but we cannot live forever, which is why I would not live forever,"
--Miss Alabama in the 1994 Miss USA contest.

"Smoking kills. If you're killed, you've lost a very important part of your life,"
--Brooke Shields, during an interview to become Spokesperson for federal anti-smoking campaign.

"Outside of the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country,"
--Mayor Marion Barry, Washington , DC .

That lowdown scoundrel deserves to be kicked to death by a jackass, and I'm just the one to do it,"
--A congressional candidate in Texas .

"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."
--Al Gore, Vice President

"We've got to pause and ask ourselves: How much clean air do we need?"
--Lee Iacocca

"The word 'genius" isn't applicable in football. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."
--Joe Theisman, NFL football quarterback &sports analyst.

P.S. You gotta wonder sometimes, I guess some people just don't think before they speak...and...sometimes it's not a "oh I didn't say that" especially when half of America gets their hands on it...

You know u live in 2006 when...

[1.] You accidentally enter your password on a microwave.

[2.] You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years.

[3.] The real reason for not staying in touch with your friends is that they don't have a screen name.

[4.] You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing to button on the .T.V.

[6.] Your boss doesn't even have the ability to do your job.

[7.] You read this list, and keep nodding and smiling.

[8.] As you read this list, you think about telling
this to all your friends.

[9.] And... you were too busy to notice number 5.

[10.] You actually scrolled back up to check that there was no 5.

[ 11.] And now you're laughing at your stupidity.

I just had to post this...heh

Of Banquets and technology...

Well, one of the biggest things coming up for me is a banquet which my mom is pretty much in charge of...and we are serving like, 120 people so, it's big, and there's a lot of stuff to do!! It's for our home school basketball program. I am in charge of doing the power point presentation, so I spent like 4 hours today trying to get it at least half way done. I have to get all the pics of all the teams together, alphabetize them, size them, and stick them on some template that looks half way decent. Then once I have all the names and pics together, then I add in the animation. And the animation is confusing because there are a bunch of ways to do it. You can animate the whole slide or just the words or letters or pics and stuff. And there are a hundred different animations too. It's just a LOT of work to do one power point!! It may seem easy enough but it is actually very time consuming...if you want it done well that is.

I thought I might delve into the world of technology just a bit. Purdue has a brand knew nanotechnology building and believe me, some of the stuff they are researching is unimaginable!!
1. They have found out how to create seamless screens. Basically, imagine taking your computer screen out of it's frame and crumpling it into a small ball and stuffing it into a film canister. Then the next day pulling it out and putting it back in your computer. With the new screens they would still be seamless, with absolutely no creases. The possibilities are endless. They can make DVD players the size of an ipod and just have an expandable screen. They can make portable 16 and 20 and 30 inch TV's. It's quite amazing.
2. Purdue has also found out away to liquefy a TV screen so that you can literally "paint" it on a wall. You can make it as big as the whole wall or just your normal size. The molecules in the paint align themselves when you brush it on. I am assuming it uses wireless electrical current to run, but still, to be able to "paint your TV screen" on a wall? Pretty crazy. Think of our grandkid's toys!!!
Anybody else know of some sweet technology out there? It's everywhere, the unthinkable is happening. It's mindboggling!

Because of our disagreement in sports opinions, I figured I would end this post with this quote...

"Opinions are like armpits...everyone has one, and they all stink" ~Mr. Johns

Compositions, and basketball

Ah!! My composition is done!! I spent like 4 hours today putting it into my teachers computer and it is all complete, mailed in and everything...now just the waiting, competitions are full of waiting...

NCAA action officially begins tomorrow. This is going to be an interesting year, with a couple unlikely #1 seeds, like Villinova and Memphis, and bunch of hopefuls in the lineup. I think out of all the tournaments, the NCAA is my favorite, because absolutely anything can happen. No name teams can weasel there way into the final four, and very unlikely matchups clash in a normally thrilling climax. There's just nothing like the NCAA when it comes to tournaments. In football, the same old teams end up in the bowl championship series and who gets into the bowl games are easy to predict too, like, it is tons more difficult for no name teams to do anything, but in basketball, I mean, like, Air Force is in the tourney, and when do you ever see them do anything in football. I know it's impossible to face off 64 teams in football, but that's the beauty of the NCAA. Well, that's my thoughts on march madness. Any other thoughts?? Well I'll wrap up this post with that...have a great night!!

911 A legend?

Ok, some people believe that the 911 disaster was somehow, mysteriously written all over the culture of the US and how everything about points to 911 in some mysterious way and stuff. Well I finally got my hands on some of the supposed proof for all this. In fact I don't think it's a coincidence, and in fact I know it isn't. God planned these numbers to add like this so i am not going to argue with it. This is interesting, but seriously in some ways it kinda sounds like some one sat around trying to think of how the number 11 could somehow be formed out of names and places and dates. Well, anway, here's some of the supposed "coincidences" of the 911 disaster...

1) New York City has 11 letters
2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.
3) Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993 has 11 letters.
4) George W Bush has 11 letters.
5) New York is the 11th state.
6) The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number...11.
7) Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11
8) Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers. 6+5 = 11
9) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known. 9 + 1+1= 11
10) The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911. 9 + 1 + 1 =11.
11) The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254. 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.
12) September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year. Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.
13) The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/2004. 3 +1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11.
14) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers incident.

Open Microsoft Word and do the following:
1) Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers.
2) Highlight the Q33 NY.
3) Change the font size to 48.
4) Change the actual font to WINGDINGS

Delivery man for the newspaper

I sub for paper routes and so I just got one, like two days ago. Paper routes really aren't that hard, you just have to drag one of your parents to go drive to the pick up station to get the papers and then you can just enjoy the morning as you go. There's something about delivering papers in the early morning that is special, but I don't really know what it is. Yesterday though it was blowing really hard, so like all my shots were off, I missed a while porch and from the driveway too! I mean really, I practically had to walk all the way up to the front door! Also when it's windy and pitch black the houses are always a little more...well...we'll just say intimidating...especially the ones with like, some vinyl siding flapping in the wind and stuff. Anyway, halfway through the route my flashlight died, so I had to use my ever resourceful mind to memorize all the house numbers until I reached another street light. Actually contrary to popular opinion, nowadays, you don't ride your bike to deliver papers, you walk. Seriously, you walk, it's too cumbersome to carry a bunch of papers and then ride up and down every other driveway...it's really difficult and it doesn't save any time at all. Some people use cars, and that's just ridiculous. Unless, of course it's the Sunday edition and you can't carry them all. But still, a car...pathetic. The worst part is when you end up with not enough papers and you have to call in and say you need more, or you have to go back through the whole route and find the house you delivered that you weren't supposed to. Especially if the route has a 108 papers. Thankfully I only had to do that one a couple times. But it is nice to be able to be forced to get up in the morning, you really find out what you miss if your like me, who doesn't get out of the house until, like 3 in the afternoon. But I think they're worth it for once in a while.

Oh, big news...Adam had his first beer today...ooooh...it wasn't much, more like a couple sips, but still, a first is a first, especially when he can't get it here for a couple more years...

I think I'll end the post here, if any of you have ever had a paper route, I would like to know, because I don't really know anybody who is associated with the newspapers in any depth...

well, ttyall later...

I wish I was traveling...

My brother is enjoying himself in Munich. He has figured out real fast that sparkling water is a big thing there. Besides beer, if you want water, you'll probably end up with sparkling water unless you want to try to explain your head off that you want "regular" water. And also it's 50 cents to use a public toilet! I thought that was slightly unusual. And like, every hotel there has a "Biergarden" or a bar as we call them. Every street corner has one practically. So really you don't have to walk far to get some booze. Well the Germans are famous for there beer, so that seems to make sense, however a bunch of college students staying in a hotel with beer just around the corner doesn't bring up much in the way of pleasant thoughts...

I LOVE to travel, and now that I think about it, I have traveled a lot. Including my first plane trip when I was under a year old and I have had at least 20 or so since then. I have also been to Vancouver Canada, but I was only 2 yrs of age so, I really don't remember much. I have also been by car, to, Gettysburg, D.C., Wyoming (twice) Kansas, Seattle WA, Boston, Florida, a bunch of times to Illinois and Michigan and Ohio (almost uncountable!). So I shouldn't really have anything to complain about. Last year we did a whole month of traveling, we drove 8000 miles in less then a month and saw both the pacific and the Atlantic oceans! It was pretty cool, however the drive to the west coast was like 3, 16 hour days to get there!! Anyway, it was fun though. Any of you had any cool trips? Anybody driven as much as me in the car? Heh, well, hope u all have a fun evening, and I think I will end mine here pretty soon. Take care ya'll,

Master of the house!

Ok, well, my brother is in Germany and my dad is leaving for D.C so I will be the "Man of the House". Ah, it will be nice, and I'll finally be Master of my bedroom for a while, it's nice to have a bedroom for myself, and for all of you who are thinking "Ha, I have my own bedroom" I don't want to hear about! Ok, well, I am definitely going to enjoy the peace and quiet, well, as much of it as I can get...and I think I might be able to get more work done. Actually right now i am trying to "speed" compose some music for a composition competition (man that's hard to type!) and it's gets interesting and frustrating at times. It takes a lot of creativity to completely form a song worth listening in under a week. But...It's worth it. It will be cool when it's done, but, til then, well, I have my work cut out for me. I also have a debate tournament coming up...yes...another one! but it shouldn't be as big as my last one here. Well I really need some sleep, have a good night everyone...well to you that are reading this right now at least...and have a great weekend!

Eragon

I've finally got my hands on this book. "Eragon" by Chris Polini (i think...) is being passed around our church practically...anyway, I have enjoyed reading it. Anybody else read it? He writes well, and carries the plot with much detail without getting boring. He also weaves in counter plots with very intriguing mysteries as well. I think that it is well worth your time to grab it and spend an evening with it. For those of you who don't know, it's about a farm boy who stumbles upon a strange, mysterious rock while hunting in the woods. The rock, unbeknownst to him holds a secret more powerful then any other. And immediately the boy (Eragon) is thrown into an adventure with mystery, dragons, peril, and a stunning yet powerful climax. Anyway, I think I haven't ruined it with that vague description, if you a want a better overview, read the back of the book...heh, well, I'll leave you all with that. If u have read it or heard of it, tell me what u think. well, laterz everybody,

Well, the blog contest started a couple days ago so I am a little behind, but oh well, the contest won't take over my life...yet..

Many years ago in Scotland, a new game was invented.
It was ruled "Gentlemen Only

...and thus the word GOLF
entered into the English language.

In the 1400's a law was
set forth that a man was

Freedom!!

Ahh! Competitions and performances are over!! I finally feel free to to other things with my life...well...for the moment. The competition on Saturday went very well, I received an honorable mention and today we had a glorious honors recital! This week was frustrating though, I was busy practicing on Monday and Tuesday and then I got a cold on Wedn. and found myself with a fever on thursday, so I couldn't practice at all thursday or Friday...it was really annoying because my hands got so weak and flimsy. But I managed somehow... I got to meet some very cool pianists. We all went out for pizza one night, and believe me, if you throw a bunch of tired piano freaks together for pizza it gets real interesting...Twas an exciting weekend overall, and I hope yours was just as fascinating...well, I am really tired so I think I'll have to cut this post short...
